Price: $80 for 1 person, $60 each for 2 or more people
Duration: 90 min.
Location: Wizard beach, Isla Bastimentos, or Black Rock, Isla Carenero, depending on wave conditions

Surf tour:

Price: starting at $60, depending on the number of people and where we are going to surf
Location: the best spots in the area!

simple but spacious treehouse. well equipped kitchen, beds are comfortable. the surroundings were a bit less tranquil than we expected/ hoped for.

What an incredible house! We had such a great week. From the listing, we thought it might be raining in the house or we'd need mosquito repellant, but not at all. Despite being open to the outdoors in places, we stayed dry and un-bitten. (The mosquito nets work!) From the house we saw night monkeys, bats, lizards, wild birds, and a mama chicken teaching her little chicks. The kitchen is great; we cooked a ton. We boiled a pot of water each night for fresh drinking water the next day. Ernesto took us out on his boat to the bat cave and snorkeling. We saw dolphins from the boat. Stay in this special house! Also, one more Bastimentos recommendation is the Up In The Hill permaculture chocolate/farm tour.

Lovely unique place in Bastimentos island. You exactly get what you see - no frills, lovely treehouse with ocean and rainforest view, nice walk to wizard beach. If you want air conditioning or a fancy room/hot water, this isn’t it; but if you want something basic, rustic, and special, this is it. Very clean and decent kitchen and bathroom. Bedroom has a door that locks, a bit exposed to the outside elements but zero issues with bugs and nice fan. Feels very safe and quick walk away from town center - was a bit loud in the evenings with music but likely because we were there around New Years. Island is lovely and there are cute restaurants in town. Hosts are very nice and pleasant and had good recommendations for what to do on the island re: food. They also offer a boat tour; I suggest price shopping and doing some research beforehand, more options available in Bocas island for activities and seemed cheaper.
